Was the Oil Pump like I thought it was. Put it all back together last week in readiness for ND. Cranked with no ignition, Lovely, Good oil pressure. Connected ignition, Took ages to start, When it did fire.........BLOODY HELL! Sounded like a big end gone, was that loud a knock Rang builder, He "Suggested" could be a con rod bolt catching the body of the new pump (Long stroke). Asked me to run it up to see if the knock quietened down which it has. Was disgusted so slammed the garage door down and not looked at the thing since


Wish I still had it Tim. Great engine was that. Lad from Here called Frank now has it.

fiona's getting on at me to get the mex done for the next tour...... i would love to have it there but i just dont think i'll be able to manage it unless fiona and baby hannah move out for about 6 months so that i have the time.

oh well. we'll more than likely be in fiona's more door again
