Very sad to see this car like this, but it's no use getting angry over the owners unwilling to sell! I can understand why they don't want to part with it, it's part of they guy that died and perhaps they just can't let go!

I think someone should make them aware of its value and historical significance and try and persuade them to store it undercover (even offer to help them move it). Sadly its next trip will probably be to the scrap man in several pieces, unless its on a farm where it will either be left to return to nature or be crushed and buried.

Someone has I think, judging by the fact the plates are missing off it etc.. Sounds like this will be the one you never own to me.. Unless you Irish boys have lost your touch

I once found a Twin Cam in the same sort of condition left to rot outside, every time I went to the house to deliver their heating oil and I would ask the owner to sell it to me but he wouldn't give me a price. He eventually sold the engine and I think the shell went for scrap, there are some bonkers people out there

Or maybe they have got fed up of all the people going round and making an offer on the car, it does get a bit much after a while.

Fine line I'd say. They own it ...and it's up to them

I usually leave my contact number and the price of a phone call ..if I'm interested in a car. They sometime call and say no....but it's now at the time they want to ....and not some stranger knocking at the door

That's a pretty good plan of action id say, its just very frustrating its just been left to effectively die! Its not as if its a daily driver with a few marks or a worthless POS... we all know the value of such cars and many of the parts on them... I don't know of any such cars near me and id love to have the chance to make an offer, it just so very frustrating to see! Lee

I bet if someone turned up on the doorstep with its true value ,

possibly 15k up , they would sell it , instead of the usual chancers

trying to steal em and make a nice profit for them selves

                      Rs 1600

Hello, I have just had a look at the pictures and they are the ones i took a few years ago, i have seen the car a short time ago and it is reaching a point to restore it would be an up hill climb, the bonnet has now fallen off, and engine is now open to the weather, as for money i do not think £115,000 would buy the car, i will say, i did offer strong money because it is a home reg car COI 22 i think it will rot as it is, i did advise putting it under cover a long time ago, but not interested sad way to see it go, but it is there car. so its seems people, we have 2 choices then... Leave it as it is OR just go and load it on a trailer and hide it away for years while you source the bits and a replacement shell! LOL
btw, if this actually happens, its NOT me! don't even know where it is! LOL

Why bother-the owner quite obviously does not want to part with it for personal reasons_they probably know its worth-and you're just gonna annoy them again like so many before. If they wanted to sell it would be for sale-simple-leave the people alone...
