    did janspeed ever do a turbo conversion for the rs2000.was told there was a janspeed turbo`d rs not far from me last night..stu

    they did pinto capris and cortinas so i guess there must have been some RSs
    only reason not to would be under bonnet space or heat ?

            Found this lurking in the top drawer circa early 80s
            no mention of the RS2000 or pics in the brochure, but kits available as said for OHC

              probably was`nt some kind of option new then dave,owner would have to have the kit fitted himself.

              bill it was`nt white by any chance?sure the guy that told me about it said it was white.

                i bought a genuine ford pinto rs turbo kit years ago all stamped ford and fitted it .should have pics somewhere.ehaust manifold kept breaking though

                    I remember seeing 2 of these one was black local to me not sure what happened to it and I remember another one at a Castle Coombe rsoc test day back in August 1986

                      Alistair was the fellas name his car was yellow when he got it I'm sure but when he finished his resto it was white ,dunno if that was back to original also belongs to a seriously mint rs18 fester

                        My car used to have a janspeed turbo coonversion on it at one time , ive still got the turbo set up ...

                            That is a very rare turbo Gaz, well worth holding onto as part of your cars history.

                            Janspeed did offer a bolt on kit as far as I am aware, but one of the first to turbo an Escort was Roger Works in 1975 when they turbo'd a brand new mk1 RS2000. It was on the cover of Motor magazine in Aug '76.

                            I have had 2 with turbo's, 1 with the S.U. set up and the other I think was homemade with sierra injection, but was very effective in a crude sort of way.
