Been there , shared one a few years ago with my missus's parents , its ok at first but the novelty soon wears off when you have to load it up all the time , get it on the back of the car ,tow it 200 miles , set it up in the rain , pack it all away 2 days later for the 200 mile 50mph drive home , and unload everything again .
Those short weekend breaks soon become more of a chore than a holiday

I boought a new german caravan, loved by the pikeys in 2004,I have been all over Europe in it,as far north as Denmark,as far south as Dubrovnic.I spend 3 months every winter in Spain.Done 40K miles with it and enjoy it all.So suck it and see ,it might not be for everyone,BUT lots enjoy it too!

            Caravans

By the way just check that you are legal to tow anything over 750Kilo
If you passed the Driving Test before January 1st 1996 you will have a B+E licence if you passed after that date you need to take the B+E test as it was not granted after that

Enjoy it. not everyones cup of tea. We've had one since the kids were small and been all over Ireland , England, Wales . Use the 'Caravan Club' sites , excellent standard.
Went to France for last 2 years. Load up all the bikes and kids gear. no hanging around airports or extra baggage fees.etc
Lots of UK caravans in France.
Thats a long one you've got but the twin axle is very steady. Current one's an 08 bailey senator , no problems.

                              Caravans

Its the over hanging TREES that cause the damage.
Traveling back from Spain in April, near to home,3AM in the morning ,on dipped headlights, failed to see overhanging tree ,that scored the top panel on my large van causing £3200 of damage,The tree had been smacked by at least 16 HGVs as thats how many broken mirrors were on th grass bank just after the tree!!!
