McCrae built Escort

Been told theres a white mk2 escort cossie powered built by McCrae's brother,
Does anyone know any info on this apparently its located up norf ?

By McCrae, I'll assume you meant Colin McRae, since his brother would still have the same surname

Alistair has had a couple of Mk2s, one with an SR20 in it I think.

There was a car that was/is White with a n/a Millington cosworth engine, 2.5 on carbs. I belive it was used by alister on lurgan park few years back.
Also there is another mk2 with a 2ltr Millington in that did mcrae stages few years back, with chris meeke at the wheel.

And colin had a White mk2 with a Swindon Bdg in it.

Think the one with the 2.5 had the reg FFA 510T Can remember seing it on its 1st rally at the 2005 Scottish rally Jimmy McRae was driving it amd on the Mcrae Stages that year. Then was used at lurgan then went to ireland and seen it forsale in the summer there. Think that car was also used by neil Dougan on the Galloway hills or Park systems. can remember it breaking a Track rod end infront of me

Last time i seen the other white one was on the Jim clark around 2 years ago.

FFA 510T is (or was ?) in Northern Ireland & is/as for sale.

The Mk2 Colin had was NVY 52P & belongs to John Allan who sadly passed away recently.

I'm not sure of anyothers though......

A local man to me,John Allan who passed away around a month ago bought this escort *NVY 52P" from colin just before he had the red mk2 built. It is running a swindon BDX with around 285 bhp. Very nice car and a bit of history aswell. Done a pit of paintwork on it before he used it as course car on the mcrae. Sounds awesome!

HTJ 537P Was the first of two cars owned by graham holmes a close family freind of the Mc rae's the other was FFA510T which was a wide track car, both were used at some point with jimmy, alisdar and cris meeke and both were millington engined. Trevor moore had FFA510T and he had the car up for sale recently. HTJ537P is owned by a scottish lad who has sun bed shops who i think is a mate of graham holmes who has GHI contracts.

Didn't the lad who has the sunbed shops (can't remember his name just now !) have FFA & sold it to Trevor Moore quite a few years ago ?
