wondered what are peeps thoughts on it, i think once you have an escort you will always return to them.

What happened to me was the value of the cars went up to the extent were you didn't like taking it out cos went you parked up and went for chips you were sure it wouldn't be there when you got back.
So you didn't take it out and didn't enjoy it.
No enjoyment from the car and a high resale value leads to a sell up.
It's still the case tho that when you go for a spin who would ever let the car out of their sight even to go for an ice cream!
The more worthless they become then the more disposable they are and the fun returns as you can back them into a hedge and quite happily leave the bumper behind!
I think anyone with a passion for them will always hold them dear. The Mk2 rally scene is still massive in Ireland.
