On reading tuscan30`s thread in newbies. Just a thought about having a
"confessional" section on this site? I am sure a lot of lads would feel better if they could share there sins (only to do with escorts) from stupid accidents, scrapping good cars to painting them with dulux. What do you think?

      sounds like a good idea
my friend raced a steel bubble arched turreted mk1 shell in 2 hot rods,
also only used to use mk2 shells that didn't need welding! they were 10 a penny in the late 80s early 90s

I broke up a mk2 mex after i crashed it in the 90s, would've repaired the shell these days tho!

scrapped a salvageable mk2 RS2000 shell cause couldnt be arsed fixing it stupid boy and my mate dumped an early mk2 Mex cause it had a hole in the innerwing ,funnily enough we were talking about this a few weeks ago about the cars we dumped when they really were easy fixes but at the time RSs up here were ten a penny

Had a new pair of RS wings from ex-pressed welded to the RS during the rebuild, then cut them off and replaced with std flatty hadrians. We welded them on so good, they were scrap metal after they came off.

Around six years ago, I sold a BDA engine (with a recent head rebuild by John Wilcox) with half a garage of Escort spares (including a couple of 7x13 four spokes). I let the lot go for £1600.
                        Cheers
