Went to Newby Hall yesterday ,parked next to this rare Mexico

Gen AVO Mex estate was owned from new by Ron Mansfields sister




If this is the Mexico Estate from near me in East Yorks it is not the "original" car maybe all the mechanical parts and drivetrain are but not the Shell.It is a very good restoration though and has taken over 12 years to complete.

There were originally Four. One got wrote off by someone in the press office & was scrapped by Ford. It is documented somewhere.
As mentioned on another thread (in the estate gallery I think) the two remaining Mexico Estates are alive & well & quite often turn up at shows.
The one that got converted to an RS2000 estate lives very close to the car above & is undergoing restoration.
So three still exist.
