  • Anyone do karting?

A new karting track http://www.whiteriver.ie/ has opened up beside us and was thinking of getting a kart.I have absolutely no experience and am just going on what others say. I am looking at a 09 tomy cart (chassis)with a new engine. It is €3500 and no sparesis that a good price or can anyone recommend anywhere.

done a bit of this(shut up grum) if you have never done karting and are only going to do practice sessions there is no need to buy such a new good kart especially a tony kart.for the same money you could buy new,but a not so good chassis but still perfectly good to use.or just get an older one.they soon look tired so never normally sell for much second hand.there is a web site msa karting .lots for sale on there.or go to a local meet and normally some has one for sale.what engine?ps do you have a wife mortgage and kids

I raced karts at national level for about 4 years. Great fun but very expensive and hard work. Rotax is probably the best place to start as the engines are relaible and will run more than a few hours without a rebuild.
