Accidentally bought an rs1600i

Had 5 of these in total back in the day, so have been looking at them online just out of general interest.
Found a white one on pistonheads for 2500 quid that looked as if it was pretty original(still had the twin coils etc) and could make a nice car.
Found the same car on fleabay, yesterday afternoon on a no reserve auction with 16 bids taking it to 1300quid, so I bid 1320 quid and have just checked and I've won it

At 1320 quid I never thought I'd win it so maybe accidental is the wrong word, maybe 'surprised' is more accurate

The rs1600i has arrived and tbh it aint that bad. Probably the worst thing is a cracked dash. Everything is pretty much orignal.
The guy selling it on ebay was gonna attempt to restore it outside his terraced house until his mrs got pregnant again they already have 3 kids in a 2 bed house

Think it make a nice car sometime in the future, will post some pics tomorrow
