    Anyone on here had one, the misses likes em.
    cant say i've ever attended one except for flat battery and puncture.
    engines 1.4 p. 1.6 and 1.4 tdi - any help appeciated

    1.4tdi. 3 cylinder, 70mpg and as reliable as you can get. Responds well to re-mapping.

          Agree with Frosty, mom's Polo 1.4 TDi (same engine) returns about 60-65 around town, sat on the motorway at 70mph has returned nearly 80mpg.

          Very nippy little car.

          Wouldn't bother with the 1.4 petrol, quite a flat engine until it's revved which then kills the fuel consumption.

          Wouldn't have a clue on the 1.6.

                Have a look here;



                Had my Tdi for 3 years, no problems, cheap tax, insurance and even servicing at Audi.

                Perfect as the daily runner, as a compliment to more specialist cars.

                As the Tdi has a narrow power band (hardly power) you have to drive it well, keeping it in the zone and reading the road ahead, if you find yourself in the wrong gear out of boost...you have nothing....can actually be fun to drive as you have to concentrate to get the best out of it.
