Totally agree with your last statement - always had a soft spot for a 'Vanishing Point' Challenger though (similar your 69' Mustang Fasback). My mate had one of those 1750 Allegro's and God did it shift! Nailed my then RS2 back home to Momma in a box... How many of those are still around?? I recall the one my mate had was silver and black, was a nice moter too!
