Apple on Thursday provided a peek at some of the new features coming to its iPhone later this year. In an event at its Cupertino headquarters, CEO Steve Jobs...
not happy at all, half way into to the update my computer/windows decided it didn't like my iphone and stopped the install now my iphone wont turn on
So customer service phone call in the morning when they open at 8am
Should be able to put the phone into DFU mode (Device Firmware Update) and redo it
Basically run up itunes, plug the phone in and then turn it off. When it's fully off press and hold the power and home button for 10 seconds then release the power button but keep the home key pressed. After another 10 - 30 seconds itunes should see the phone in DFU mode and allow you to reapply the firmware. Good luck

Done all that but itunes still couldn't find my iphone, had to make a new user account on my laptop and remove itunes and then reinstall a new itunes, then it found my iphone in recovery mode so had to restore the iphone and guess what its still not working as keep getting an unable to restore iphone error message.
Apple has told me to turn off my firewall and all antivirus and try that so will give that a go in the morning while I wait until 8am when the customer service tech help start work.
Wish I didn't bother now, as the tech people said there has been lots of issues with OS4 and one of them said best to leave it a month for all the issues to be sorted then upgrade; too late for that now

I updated the mrs's Ipod touch last night, after three attempts which failed and left me wondering if I had created a very expensive paper weight all it would do was turn on and off, going no further than showing the itunes and usb logo. I finally got it back after six goes, multiple restarts and re installing itunes twice , restoring it all back including her apps etc but it had wiped all the music off, that doesn't matter as we have it all but it was a long and stressfull night, don't give up.
sigpic
Push everything to the limit
if it breaks it wasn't strong enough
rebuild it and try again !
Well my iphone is ****ed, after spending the last couple of days speaking with the tech peeps in the good old USofA it still not working.
Should be getting another one on Monday, might even see if I can talk the apple store into letting me have the new iphone as mine was only two months old......but thats a very long shot
