When you go out in an RS or mexico how many people come up to you with tales of -

I had one of these it was well fast
My mate had one of these it was well fast
Wish i'd never sold mine it was well fast etc

I think it's great and shows how everyone likes them. My missus always quotes the 'men of a certain age' phrase.

We had a pint near Skipton yesterday , I had a long discussion right across the bar ' that your car mate, I had a Mexico wish I'd never sold it'
Then a guy outside, 'now then young man what are these worth nowadays' and I'm not even that young...
then people taking pics of it

The car even started when we came to leave....

Very true what you say, people always want a chat which is nice....unless your running late and get collered at the petrol station!!

when i had a lotus cortina mk1 people used to tell me they had one exactly the same but it was blue and had 4 doors all the time

Hee Hee!,Had most of them,Me Dad had one... I passed my test in one the same colour!,but it did'nt have them four 'little'clocks on the right on dash,....nice though..

Having spent the last several years driving ferrari and porsche, I never expected the response when I drove the RS for the first time this weekend.
Some guy started telling me about his xpack capri at the petrol station
A bloke at the traffic lights wanted to know if it was for sale.
When I took the car home my neighbour who was cleaning his generic japanese saloon car, came literally sprinting down my drive to see the car and started telling about his 1600 sport
Oh and a bloke in capri laser flashed and waved when I was driving her back to my workshop

You don't get this in a gt3, thats for sure!!! just glares generally!!

Great isnt it?.Whilst pulling onto a roundabout the other week a rather nice Aston pulled around behind me,nice 20 inch or so anthracite alloys silver body!.Spitting feathers ,must be nice to be loaded.Stopped at zebra crossing and four late fourty/early fifty year old chaps walking the high st,window down.Got the thumbs up from all four!..V. nice mate i was informed,never gave the aston a second glimpse....PRICELESS,mind i know which one i would choose in my garage.It would be for sale to buy a better blue oval....

I have an old bike or two, and a favorite that people have said to me on many occasions is, "thats a nice old Bantam".

It's not a Bantam (ie 125cc-175cc 2 stroke). It's an A10 (ie 650cc 4stroke)

With the Escorts, it usually is "is it for sale"

A mate of mine on the way to an event with his pretty well battered MK1 on the trailer, some guy said "that's a hell of a project you got there"
