They should have a step machined into the block at the crankshaft end . They freeze the liners in liquid nitrogen so they shrink and then heat up the block so it expands . Then they drop them into place and the liners fall into place and rest on the step . Once the temperatures equalise the liners are jammed into place and can't move (well that's what they told me)Originally posted by lee bishop View Post

What size bore have you got as i couldn't find anyone to liner mine at 93mm with cheap liners . As i wanted all four done they could only do a smaller bore size . UPDATE
Block out and stripped
It appears there is a step in the bore but when the liner was fitted it was NOT pressed home to the step
When the liner slipped it stopped at the step
So the gap you see on my pic is the amount the engine shop (nameless at this point) did not go down to with the liner
Off to see them Monday
BUT
Thanx to RoddeRS I now have a standard bore 200 block today so in the words of Arnie - I'll be back - lolcheeRS

Just had my replacement 200 block back after being chemically stripped and checked for cracks
Off now for machining to 94mm and retest to check block not porous after boring it out

Collected block today and all appears fine after boring to 94mm
Decided to allow an experienced engine shop do the boring and the operator said that when cutting a bore and the wall goes thin the "note" of the cutter alters and he didnt hear anything to worry about whilst machining my block
Lets hope it all holds together this timecheeRS
