hi all, I have just come home to hear from a friend of mine about the problems on the tour of the lakes and feel very disappointed from the out come. Dave am sorry to hear about your decision.you were always the 1800 man for me,and for everyone.!!!.you cant be replaced, for your knowledge. And as for the judges decision about Gerard,he drove on sat for about 150 miles thats enough for me,end of story. If the judges dont get a grip their going to lose out on what this is all about ,and to lose Gerard showing his cars we are all going to miss out ,and from the support of the members who feel very strongly about this i think this needs sorting out asap.Regards Normanbda

That just about says it all, Gerard didn't just "drive" 150 miles on saturday, he thrashed the arse out of it. And still had it cleaned up to that standard for sunday

i thought it was a tour (ie driving and a couple of drinks in the evening) not a buffty show.

Now Now Gaz, each to their own.

I enjoy to see some special concourse cars, as well as a bit of speed.

The concourse part of any show is very important, and unfortunately we dont see half the cars we ought to in concourse, because owners are fed up with some rules and how the car gets judged, and who judges it!

Sureley there has to be a way to attract more show cars, without the hastle, it has to be made simple.

Life's to short for tittle tattle, we all love escorts, be it shinney or rapid, we all own one to enjoy and show others, so lets get em out the garage and to a show.

this upset goes on at classic bike shows they are taken there in vans look fantastic but have never run they wont even put petrol in the tanks i know of a few owners who dont even have internals in the engine but some shows only award trophys to bikes that are TAXED so now the man that reproduces old tax discs is sell loads of reproduced new ones for the cheats

personally i ride my bikes and drive my cars hope to get the MK1 RS2000 FINISHED THIS YEAR

I might do concours this year as my engine blocks split . I could trailer it everywhere and then push it up some little ramps and slide a mirror underneath so they can see my dry sump plumbing , fuel injection install and 6 pot brakes !!!!
