  • Fibreglass Bonnets & Bootlids

    Chaps,

Has anyone got any recommendations on suppliers of fibreglass bonnets & bootlids?

I don't mind paying a bit extra for a good fit.

Maybe Carbon/kevlar for the right price.

    Thanks in advance

    Neb

If you entering an Historic Class I would check first as carbon or Kevlar (with or without a Fibre Glass composite) may not be allowed

They may only allow fibre glass construction (steel frame work may also be allowed)

          No worries with historics.

We need to lose some weight, but will need to have internals.

We'll keep the steel panels we alredy have just in case.

              Thanks, I'll try them both.

Generally do they fit well or require some fettling/big 'ammer?

Also try rallye design for f/glass there new range seemed good quality when i saw them at autosport and the prices were good!
Got mine from magnum kevlar internals with f/glass over lay. Finish wasn't the best , our mate Mike the Panel had to do a lot of work to tidy them up! Finish on carbon boot spoiler was awfull, still waiting for it back 6 weeks later, panels were passable for rally car but not the best if you want a tidy car! Price kind of reflects this though! Maybe better buying through RACE, they may get better finished products!

Old ford autos and X-sport both do carbon/kevlar panels as well as glassfibre . Fit and finish is good for plastic shite .
