some reasons may be petty..but i think it needs a new person as i cannot contribute to certain things, i wont go into it tbh,
other reasons as well tipped me into saying enough is enough, again i wont go into detail
i wish the club all the best...i will always be there anyway
cheers

The owners club needs a serious upheaval. If its going to continue and stop the decline, imo.
But losing people like yourself isnt part of whats needed.
Hello Dave, I am very sorry to hear this, It was nice to have met up with you over the weekend. Best of luck to you in the future. We will keep in contact. You will be missed as the RS1800 registar.
Take care Paul.
I'd like to thank Dave for all that he has done for the RSOC & RS1800 owners over the years.
After nearly 20 years of being Reggie for the 1800s there comes a time when everyone feels its time to stop. Having spoken to Dave today that time has now come, I have persuaded Dave a least twice over the past couple of years to stay on but this time Dave is adamant his time is at an end. It is a sad day for Dave 1800 owners & the RSOC ( in that order ).
Instead of being another nail in the coffin of the RSOC as some on here seem to think surely rs1800 owners should see it as an opportunity for a fresh face to continue Dave's work. I am sure Dave will be willing to help anyone who feels they could step into his shoes.

a nice reply that kev, doesnt mention the life membership he should receive for the hardwork and tirless effort he has put into both the registrars position and into the whole rsoc scene...
we seem unfortunatly to lose decent highly knowledgable fellas in these roles and the question i would hope the club is asking is why and how can we avoid it....
a sad day for us all
Sad day dave for the RSOC but on a better note lest you got your shorts back I feel a bit like the last man standing now never mind my day will come when i get a kicking am sure see you son
Very sad to hear this dave, but as the lads has said you are and allways will b mr1800 to us all,
I hope this is a wake up call to the RSOC cause I don't think there is anyone on the mainland or ireland or anywhere else that has the knowledge of 1800 that you have.
Raymond sends has regards and also very dissapointed to hear the news.
