Well, recieved a letter today from Hagerty insurance informing me that due to knew underwriting guidelines they will be unable to renew the policy on my 78 mexico come renewal time in june!!!???

I rang them to find out exactly what the problem is and they said they are no longer offering classic policies for anyone under 30!!!! Bloody brilliant i thought, i have owned old fords for a long time, had to wait 2 years to get a classic policy as i was under 25, finally turned 25 and got a classic policy .... now i'm 27 i'm still having trouble

can anyone reccomend a company similar to hagerty who specialise in classic insurance (i have another car under a seperate policy as a main car)

Not impressed with this at all, was happy with my hagerty cover

Adrian Flux for me, had my ST170 mk1 mex replica with them when i was 25 for a little under £200 a year every mod declared and agreed value of 9k.

Bummer about having to be over 30 . Makes you laugh how classic car insurance is age related . WTF has drivers age got to do with it then ? If the cars over 20 years old it's classed as a classic so why can't a 17 year have classic car insurance if they want it ? Beats me
