Nope . Small and compact , lightweight , simple construction and with a shallow sump for a low centre of gravity (plus with a fooooookin big turbo on 1.2 bar) =

This animation provides a basic understanding of how the Rotary Engine is put together and how it works. It was created with 3ds max, Cinema 4D and After Eff...

I'm wondering what the acceleration will feel like when it launches as the closest thing to it that i can actually try for real is a modern superbike (unless you know anyone with a Veyron with 400bhp of nitrous on it !!!! ) . A superbike can't grip like a rear engine car can (i'll have 2x 10inch wide rear wheels and the weight over them) so they should be alot slower !!!!!! Any bikers on here will confirm that a modern superbike really does goes like foooooook so i'm excited too find out . Might even put one in an Escort next .

lol , Australia is king of the rotary power specials as they have a massive cult following out there . Not many in the U.K. though as we don't bother with them cos we prefer pistons and valves . Not anymore though , stand by for lift off (literally) .

Powertec wanted £25,000 for one of those . They use a bespoke alloy block and steel bottom end with 2x Hayabusa cylinder heads up top . Awesome and was my 1st choice of engine but too expensive . Bought a 540bhp turbo rotary engine instead and that's only on 1.2 bar of boost !!!!! Revs to 8500rpm , full boost at 4200 revs even on a massive external gated T88 turbo . It will also use castrol TTS 2 stroke oil in the fuel tank to lube the rotor tips so should smell foooooookin lush as it blasts past .
Would be good in an Escort/Cortina etc plus the standard cheap RX7 gearbox could be used in one of those . Worth a thought as i have a spare mk1 Cortina in storage .

Here a quick pic of the rear arches (x-pack style) and are from a period Fiat Abarth 1000 TCR . Hoping too fit 10x 13 minilites inside .

Just seen this on Passionford , got a similar power to weight ratio as my Fiat but his is working . Just need to track him down and blag a test drive to feel what it's like . He mentions he needs toilet paper and traction control so it must be mental !!!!!
