travelled this journey yesterday, Jct 1 of the M5 / Jct 9 of the M6 interchange was a nightmare, with road works (traffic nmanagement) all the way up to about Jct 12 of the M6

took me 2.5 hours to the M5 / M6 interchange, and over an hour to join the actual M6, all said, it was peak morning traffic
