I might be wrong but in the bottom pic the colours are off me thinks...aren't both the same Venetian Red?.....I tried adjusting a bit in PS.

i know its either carnival red or venetain red because they only done the rs1800 in thos 2 reds.

John Mac built this car (CIB 1651) this is a genuine RS1800 that was originally white, John then painted it red, It is Venetian red, definately not Carnival Red.

You could be right it's close, he also painted his Mk2 Mex WME ???? same colour which was nicked shortly afterwards.

Dave - WME 70T was the mex John had, gp1 spec , i am sure it was venetion.

Nice bit of kit, I've heard that the engine has recently been revamped after letting go..true? whats the plans with it?

yes dave the engine has just been done ,but he has on plans for it at the mo as he is rallying two other bds's this year.
