  • My experience in the new Focus RS 500

Had a surprise this evening, John Mitchel, owner of Mountune came round for me and took me out in the new Focus RS 500 this evening. This is the one they have been developing on behalf of Fords ready for the new 500s. While we were out I happened to say to him that I'd been out in the new Focus RS and didn't find it that impressive, he told me I would be impressed with it by the time I got out. When he put his foot down it just kept going and going and going! He said they've put alot of development into this car, it's already got 24000 miles on the clock! He tells me that all 101 staying in the uk have already been sold.

lucky git sounds awesome the new car, read that a 500 tuning kit will be available, as fords were overwhelmed with the response theyve had to the quick sale of the 101 cars

Got a sneak preview a couple of weeks back.
After leaving Mistabishi & Kelvin I stopped off at Johns to have a look at his Twin Cam.
The focus was lurking in the background with lot of other nice toys.
            Mark....

You were 30 seconds from my workshop then

As I'm just round the corner from Revolve/Roush/Mountune
              Cheers Rob.

Sorry Rob, If I'd have known I'd have tried to pop in... it was a busy day though.
Near enough a 400 mile round trip & lots of people to see. Left home at 10.am & didnt get back till 11pm.
I will have to have a weekend break in Essex...

                    Mountune

So if this guy John now owns Mountune ,is it still at Malden,Essex AND where did David Mountain, the founder/owner go?
He has not gone to Indonesia to live with a girlfriend he had there?

Mountune is owned by Revolve Technologies formally known as Rouch. They are based in Hutton near Brentwood in Essex. David Mountain sold Mountune to Rouch about 5 years ago and now works for Revolve Technologies looking after the Mountune side of the business.
