  • MOT passed

MOT passed on saturday, DVLA local office tomorrow to get my years free tax ( that sounds mint ! when do you ever get anything free these days ? ) then im back out on the road !
Mint driving the mk1 to the testing station - should have picked a garage further way than 12 miles - i had a smile on my face all day !

I had nothing but bother with the wilwood four pots ! the brakes passed thou no bother but i would not fit them again ! think i would go for standard front i think if i had the time over again ! New master cylinder cost me £150 was gutted !

Anyway 3 weeks to run in the engine ( 500 miles ) new carpet to sort then the lakes tour can't wait

mint - smiled all weekend and even better today when the DVLA handed over that 12 month tax disc with historic and nil written on it !

in the window later on and out and about tonight - just wish the engine was run in already !

Any one got a Hi Torque starter for sale or knows anyone with one for sale ????

dont know if its just me and used to new cars ? but they still feel average ? i can lock the rers up on the handbrake and have the bias valve reducing the rear right down and in my mind thought the 4 pots would be sh*t hot ! but they give me no confidence ! i bled manually, then with an easi bleed with a tyre etc then backwards with what can only be described as a garden fence sprayer ( pump action full of brake fluid ) even went as far as paying ove £150 for a brand new master cylinder as that was the only thing on the whole breaking system that was second hand apart from the servo but still not too happy - passed on the rollers no bother at mot ! not sure - you will have to have a go on the lakes tour and see what you think ! my first old skool escort ?
