I was just wanting to know some info regarding where everyone will be meeting and the campsite location etc.?
Dont want to sound daft but having not been before I really have no idea of any of the lakess tour details. Do we have to book into a campsite? thanks Al

Al!,The weekend is based in the Heaves hotel nr Kendal.I think the camping is included in the overall fee for the tour, including the Saturday night buffet.I will apologise now (and personally if we bump into each other ) for the name calling.I was going to have a twist myself about having no chance of getting on the tour with only 20 places left,BUT you gotta be in it to win it,and if someone gave me a ribbing it would make me more determined to suceed on achieving a place ,sure you will get more pointers from the guys on here, good bunch, but i think you need to be in with the crowd before you start the p*ss taking banter.A.T.B Lee.

its not too far al, ive done it twice before fella, about 300 miles each way with what ever oggie has install on the drive out saturday. see if a convoy is being organised but im not sure if there will be a biggie this year as too many people wanna do their own thing or be late and f**k it up. set off nice and early, have plenty of stops of a leg stretch and a pee, every 70 - 100 miles or so. take plenty of grub and disposable bbq's and beer, and a very warm sleeping bag torch etc etc. you should get to the heaves hotel around 3 or 4pm, get your tent up and introduce yourself to the chimps already there, you will soon put names to faces and nobody will give you a cold shoulder, great bunch of blokes. friday get ****ed and walk around looking at the cars and dont forget to eat. sat morning you will have to que up at HQ and get your lakes tour pack with route and tickets for sat buffet, enjoy the driving saturday. sat night will be buffet and no doubt raffle and more p**s taking. sunday will be up and tidy everything away early for the static show on the sunday. sure i left before lunchtime because of the distance involved but you may be bored of cars by then.......LOL
take plenty of warm jumpers/coats and waterproof shoes or wellies :P

not a definitive but i hope it helps
