why hasnt anybody done a proper resto manual for an escort mk2 RS or other ,surely if one done an indepth book it would sell as the haynes manual is well pretty vague and crap

yeah but are they in depth or the usual haynes idea of lightly skipping over the subject leaving you to fiqure out what you really needed to know

I have an ongoing project of writing the definative bible on RS MK2 buying/restoring, it is very in depth with lots of detail pics of restos etc.

Will also cover series X, fitting taps, 69l tank etc
        Wheels -centres, nuts
        Trim - colours, seats, options
        Options - factory and dealer
Paint Colours with pics and codes

Have already had contact with a publisher, I really need to knuckle down at it. May show draft to a few at Lakes.

I'd like to do the same for the Mk1's. But to do it properly each model would need a book of there own.

A restoration book could be done on panel replacement, bodywork, welding etc etc... but there are books & websites that cover these already.

The book I mentioned at the top of the post is pretty good, it covers replacing panels floors etc on escorts.
Quite a bit of stuff you will not find in a Haynes manual.
                          Mark....
