Would it be worth while opening a section for us less in the know
regarding the differences in the Shells/specs say from pop /L /gl/GHIA/Sport/Mex/rs2/rs18 or would there be too much info

Think this would Be of use to anyone looking for a car &
so that all users of the site can refer to & learn from

or has it been done??

It would encourage more ringing of auto's/pop's/auto's etc as Mex's & 2K's.

Joint the RSOC and if you are interested in a certain car, contact the registrar and ask there advice and if the vehicle is known to them.

Would be good to have it in one section open for all users to see.

i used to have a schematic drawing with all the markings etc will try and find it at the weekend scan it and post it up.

I can't see it doing any harm, because if someone is determined to ring a car then they will find out what the differences are either on here, by buying a book or asking someone entering concourse at a show. These kinds of lowlife make friends with everyone and sooner or later they will find out what they want!

There is already a massive amount of info on here, and if you don't find it on a search then there is always the choice of asking, and usually someone will get back and help you.

Don't forget the more knowledgable the buyer is the more he is likely to spot a ringer and that makes it more difficult for the criminals to sell on.

with the money that any 2 door shell will go for i dont think it will be an issue as condition of shell is of more importance than spec to most people.
personaly i find it offensive when certain comments have been made where the jist of the conversation is (we know something you dont and were not letting you in on our wee secret) surely the whole point of forums like this one is to share and exchange knowlege as enthusiasts,
most of the information is already available whether in written or digital
format ,i dont think it would hurt too much to pass on what we,ve gleened from years of escort ownership....
