so sorry to hear mate, I know exactly how you feel...we had to get our rhodesian ridgeback put down just before christmas due to old age and his body shutting down, he was 12yrs....Like you say they are just like family members

Feel for you mate, had to put my Doberman down 12 years ago because his quality of life had gone, it was the hardest decision I have had to make.
Strange thing is I was only thinking about it on Saturday as there was one tied up outside TJ Hughes in Macclesfield, had to give it a fuss as you do, it brought back all the good memories so it will get easier as time goes by.sigpic
Push everything to the limit
if it breaks it wasn't strong enough

Took our 11 yr old German Sheperd to the vet for repair and was told to make the decision there and then to have him put to sleep his kidneys had gone.
That was 3 yrs ago the wife and I still get upset about it.
People who don't have pets don't understand, it is like a family member going.

my Wire haired Fox terrier was diagnosed with Acute Renal failure just over two years ago, think of him all the time, and had to make the terrible decision to end his life, my thoughts are with you all.
have now another Wire Haired Fox terrier who is equally adorable,
hard to accept the death of a loved pet
