The job he does is excellent as not only does he re-trim the seats, he fits new foam cushioning and re-bolsters the seat sides. He also re-paints the metalwork if needed and replaces the vinyl backs if needed.
    Cheers

Hmmm......Aldridge covers are £315. Quite a difference. I have to say - can I really make that much of a pig's ear doing it myself

PROBABLY NOT BUT HE does the lot and most people tell me its better cloth than aldridge. My way of thinking is if your gonna do it, do it properly else its money down the ****er. I have seen a few sets he's done and they're all mint with everyone well happy so it speaks for itself. Obviously if cost is an issue then the aldridge route is better for you, but imo if you can afford that bit more then go for it.

Yes..... there is quite a difference.
I thought Marks quote was expensive too,(and I paid a couple of 100 shipping as well) but you definitely get what you pay for. Like Chesney & Martin, when I got the seats back the quality workmanship is there.

Yeh, I can see both sides of the story here. A local company has quoted me £1000 for leather - so with a price similar to Mark's for beta cloth, I am wondering if this is a better option.
                          Cheers

beta is the better option imo because its what the cars came with, personnaly don't like to see leather in mk2's. I really can't stress how good they look and i'm sure if you saw them you'd agree.

compare the aldrige cloth to original cloth and that should make your mind up
