I'm going to buy a carcoon or similar for my Mk1.

Are there any other products out there recommended or is the carcoon the best one?
    Thanks

I have a size 5 carcoon and that was for my Escort Cosworth. A size 4 will do a mk1 imo
You can get a car port which has a frame

I don't think I need a frame as it won't be outside, it'll be in garage

we used to keep the race cars in carcoons and they are fantastic! nice because you can also still see the car as opposed to covering it up! i want one for my mk1 but cant afford one just yet...just had insurance to pay!!

Yes I realise that, but the cair o port you can just drive into the chamber, the carcoon you have to chuck the top of the chamber over the car. Cair o port is much easier imo

Call up carcoon and ask for an ex demo one, thats what I did and I got loads of money knocked off, and it was only a display model for a few summer shows for the company

Had both the carcoon and the cair o port and in my opinion the carcoon is far superior

Ive got a cairoport as i like to go out in the car then put it back away in the "tent" as it still gets damp and cold in the garage and just find it easier than a carcoon
