  • Cable TV motoring programmes ???

Why on cable TV motoring programmes do they always have fooooooookin deadlines to meet ??? .
Custom my ride , Wrecks to Riches , American hot Rod , Overhauling , American chopper , Chop Shop etc etc all have tight timescales every episode which they just about meet . Even Bangla Bangers (everyones favourite ) have got deadlines . Bangladesh is at least 50 years behind everywhere else so why the foooooook would they have a deadline !!!!

Tick tock goes the clock and the clock don't lie .
12.4sec to 109mph With NO turbo , NO gay trailer , NO slicks , NO gas , NO race fuel and NO bits missing . Beat that !!!!

We should send Leepu and his team a cheap pinto exhaust system to fit onto an Escort . That will take them 4 weeks on it's own !!!!!

If they didn't meet the deadline the show would be over before we found out how it ended.

Out of all the "done by the deadline" motoring shows on cable T.V. , where would you rather work ??? Foooook working for Boyd Coddington and Duane the foreman in American Hot Rod , those 2 would do my nut in after 5 mins !!!!! Ryan the boss of West Coast Customs is a bit of a **** sometimes and their cars are too Max Power as well so that rules them out . Gotta be Chip Foose on Overhauling for me , he seems a nice fella and all his team get on with each other unlike the Boyd Coddington lot . Gotta love Leepu the designer from Bangladesh though , his cars are sooooo shite that their cool in a weird way . Only a madman would build what he builds , lol , excellent show .

Well Boyds dead & gone, I saw Duane on Custom my ride the other day.
Him & Ryan make a great couple.
So the question is have Coddingtons folded as they were a big set up.
Or was Chris Coddington (Boyd's son) just waiting for an opportunity to give Duane his P45.

Again I think Chip Foose is the most down to earth & really has a passion for what he does.
He can draw too. I like to see the art work he produces.
Plus the cars that the owners would like to keep looking standard are very subtle but the mods work because they don't stand out.

As for the how to type programmes, Mark Evans gives a good insight of how things work with his a 4x4, MG, Plane, Helicopter, etc... etc... are born series'

I think Chip Foose did his apprenticeship with Boyd.

What Boyd didn't like is Chip making a name for himself desinging his own wheels building quality cars & basically becoming a competitor.
It's been hinted at in a couple of episodes of American Hotrod.

I did read a little about it on the net a few years back.
The page was bookmarked on an old computer, I was going to go back & finish reading it.
The computer died & I've never been able to find the site since.
                    Mark....

Yes Chip Foose is the man for sure . Top workmanship and all his cars look great . I like the cars that "wrecks to riches" build as well . It's great how the oldskool yank muscle cars are so well catered for in the states . They just phone up and 600bhp v8 turns up 5 mins later !!!!

Yeah and the way whole cars worth of panels are around in ten mins. I like wrecks to riches but you're man barry is a bit of a knob imo. Boyd Coddington wasn't too far behind him either , i wonder did foose tip them off!

Was hoping that one day the "Is born" series would return with mark evans doing "A rally car is born" doing a grp4 mk2 escort

that would be the best one ever

that mark evans programs are dead funny and good to watch, but have you noticed as each new series starts his workshop gets newer and his erm tools get bigger

i like the build programmes but my missus hates all the beeps where they mask foul language and its so annoying, they should leave the swearing in
