The blaze at Whitchurch happened as Christmas dinner was prepared
Firefighters had to deal with a blaze at their own fire station when a cooker caught alight while they were preparing their Christmas dinner. The blaze at Whitchurch fire station in Heol-y-Nant, Cardiff was put out by firefighters within minutes and nobody was injured.
A South Wales fire service spokesperson said the incident happened at around 1250 GMT on 17 December.
No damage to the kitchen was reported, added the spokesperson.
