  • Garage Door Insulation kits

Has anybody got any ideas or recommendations of where to buy garage door insulation kits. I have two single 'up and over' (Hormann Series 200) metal single skin doors into my double garage and it gets a bit cold! The garage walls are double skinned and I have weatherseals around the doors. I've seen a few kits but they seem to be from the US and Hormann want £150 a door

    Cheers

How about insulating them yourself? Buy a couple of sheets of foil backed high density insulation from a builders suppliers, stick it on the back of the door with gripfil and screw 3mm MDF on to the frame and cross braces with self drill countersunk screws. It won't be too heavy for the door springs either.
Otherwise invest in a couple of insulated sectional roller doors, maybe £250-300 each without electrical operation?

Cheers Guys, unfortunately B&Q in Cumbria don't sell much, I'll look at the 'big' B&Q store in Preston on Tuesday - weather permitting!
