  • Thought I'd seen the last of this......

Thought we'd seen the last of this weather, then I woke up this morning and this awaited me :

Can't complain though as I got quite a lot done yesterday underneath the car :

Thanks Brian, I'm pleased with the way the car is turning out - I've got a little bit more to do underneath then she's got to go up to my friend's place for a little bit of paintwork to fix a couple of small chips etc. I took the interior up to Aldridge at the start of last week, they are expecting the material to arrive at the end of March and as all work is on a first come/first served basis I thought I would get my dibs in early ! Once that is re-fitted, I'm ready for the next season !

That rear axle has a lovely finish - a very subtle semi-matt black, nice! How was it done, Arron?

The underside of the car has been stonechipped, the axle, tramp bars, leaf spring shoes, shackles, and shock mounting plates were all powder coated and I had the leaf springs sand blasted and painted matt black.

On top of that, I had the diff, gearbox and prop overhauled so I'm hoping it should be like new to drive ! The diff was totally ****ed - all the bearings gone completely.

Looking good there Arron, agree with Dasadrew with the finish on the axle casing, one point though isnt the hand brake transfer rod round the wrong way.
PS nice bit in opposite lock mag

              cheers Dave

I only stuck the rod in to save leaving it on the ground, I haven't connected it up yet, I'll check the manual but you're probably both right !
