I thought they had been on strike for days. Been waiting for a parcel from Northern Ireland. Posted on the 10th and still not here.

Wouldnt like their job, out in all weathers, our local postie got mauled by 2 Japanese akitas , in the next street, apparently was in a hell of a mess, old bill who attended finished of his mail round that day, maybe get them in during the strike as the seem to do feck all else around here

OK chaps I will give yoy some info on this

My LGV drivers have been out on 1 day strikes since Sept 7th this year along with most London Mail Centres, their Union slowly spread this across the UK balloting then calling out sites that they knew would vote YES.

As more and more sites started to vote yes the mood changed across the UK so the Union went for a National Ballot, this as we all know was a YES vote, out of all those posties who could vote only 51% of them did.

On Thursday you should get mail though your letter box as the LGV drivers and Mail centres are out, Friday is the turn of your postie so no bills on Friday.

The management and the CWU (posties Union) had a draft agreement Tuesday night but when the CWU reps went back to their headquaters this was rejected by the CWU, hence why the walk-outs this week.

The CWU has walked right into the hands of Mandleson, who will now stop this Gov and any future Gov selling off Royal Mail; as of right now more and more people are using other means to send their post and will not return to us, this will mean more job cuts in the long term.

Delivery staff on srike tomorrow so no deliveries Friday.
