  • The most perfect MK11 RS2000

Having seen OYD in the for sale section of this forum, it got me thinking about other perfect MK11 RS2000s I've seen over the years and I started thinking which is the best of the best? And which examples would be the contenders for the best of the best ? I haven't seen many of the old concours cars for years but do remember a few:

    BCG
    RUDIT
    OYD - now 4 sale
    Wurthers

I'm sure there must be others

NUB is quite unique, it rarely has the same parts fitted for a return Journey

nice cars on your list David

probably not in many peoples eyes as a concours car, but PAU is on my list as a great car

RUD 1T was always the one I looked out for, is it still around, I think Hemant Patel owned it and was used in the MK5 RS2000 launch ads.

Another two RS2's that always seemed to take home some silverware.

Not big into the concours scene, but my favourite is Aleds.

I know it's not just as mirror-shiny in every part as some of the ones mentioned, but its just a lovely looking car!

A mate of mine has a nice T reg Rs2 in a carcoon thingy ! He's owned it since it was 6 months old and it's in lovely genuine condition, can't remember the last time he used it, but he wouldn't sell it for love nor money ! ( We've all tried but NO is the answer ! )

                              Rs2000

There is also a signal orange one owned by one of my friends (Michael) in Ireland. I once saw the car at a show about the time i first bought my RS1800 (BDA 1T) - so must be 16 years ago or so. Reg number BKV ???T (I think). An absolute minter! Completely original - similar to my Mexico (TEP 946S). Black fishnet interior. He never takes the car anywhere and never has done since he bought it and took it over to Ireland. He just takes it for its annual MOT. The mileage is approx 25,000. Top, top car and one i would love to have. You never know - he may sell it to me one day!! And Michael himself is a top bloke. He rings me once a year.
