  • crystal clear headlights, group buy!!! fitted, with pics!!!!

right i have just been having a word with a man off ebay, i was discussing with him that these golf headlights could be used on a mk2 escort, and he was very interested, but said he has no time to carry out the modifications himself, but was willing to offer me 5 pairs of these headlights at the bargain price of £40 a pair! (he retails them at £60 himself) providing i buy 5 pairs from him.

they are well known on the mk1 golf scene as they are crystal clear headlights, with a crosshair in the background, they look absolutely beautiful, and (according to frosticles) they fit mk2 escorts with little modification!

edit: he also has the items without the "crosshairs, and also items with a smoked effect to them)

heres the items he is willing to sell me!

hi, just changed it actually, i realised i can do them for £40 each!!!

basically, i can get the lights for £40, and he said delivery on 5 items will be around £30, so that works out to £46 (230/5) and that will be delivery to my house, and i would have to add another £5 to that for me to be able to post them to each person who wants them!

so that would be a total of £51 for them! (inc delivery etc)

right, i have got mine today, and fitted them.

basically, to get them to fit, you have to file about 2 mm off the top edge (so it fits under the top grill brackets) and you screw them to the bowls with the original bowl brackets. then to adjust them they have a seperate adjuster on the new units.

basically you screw the new bowls onto the escort bowls (so in effect you have 2 bowls, and the light)

i can get them for £51 a pair, and that includes postage from his to mine, and then me reposting them out to you.

they look the absolute nuts on the car, and i was well happy with them!

pm me if your interested, as i need to buy a minimum of 5 people before ill start taking cash!

        i will have photos soon!

frosty how many bolts are holding yours in? mines only in by 2 (the 2 top ones) and it seems pretty secure. im going to get the bottom two in at the weekend though, which is done merely by drilling 2 holes in the new bowls

ps, i just forgot, you also need a sidelight holder from a mk1 golf or probably any vw, but i can probably throw some in, as igot a few thatll fit

Knew there was something I forgot to add. GTi side light holders are a treat. Have 4 screws holding mine in place.

yes, its a feint plastic cross thats insiide the unit. its quite thin so you cant see it head on, and quite deep so it can be seen at an angle, i can also get them without it this aswell, plus i can get the mirror bit slightly smoked aswell. or any combination of the three i think!
