as mentioned earlier, swansea is a great Craic, especially Wind street where all the pubs / clubs / bars are and it is City centre (ish) -google it : WWW wind street kingsway swansea and it is not too far from llanelli.
whilst Cardiff is a magic place on international matchday, it is by no means quiet on a weekend, with loads to see / do / drink / eat/ etc as most of the valleys folk arrive in droves. Of particular interest / nightlife is Mary Street, and Greyfriars Road, both are City Centre (ish)
dont suppose ther is much in it really, both are good places to stay, Swansea is nearer to where the game is played, Cardiff is nearer the airport for arrival /departure.
Swansea pro's. about 50 minutes from Cardiff - wales airport, great nightlife / bars, not far from llanelli - about 20 - 30 minutes (Stradey park)hotels may be cheaper than cardiff.
Cardiff pro's. about 10 -15 minutes from cardiff - Wales airport, fantastic nightlife / bars, loads of hotels (good choice) restaurants and bars, Capital city therefore lots to see / do / spend. Cons - about 60 -70 minutes drive to llanelli.
hope this helps
