Off topic I know but I've been offered a mint condition Mk1 RD125LC, 1984 with 7k miles. Its the bike I always wanted butnever got

Any experts on here know what its worth?

When I started my apprenticeship after leaving school all the lads wanted either an RD125 or a DT125, fortunately we were on decent money and most managed to get one, there were rows of them in the bike sheds and at clocking off time it was like the start of a GP. I opted for a KE125 cos I was stupid.

had a brand new dt125lc in 83 loved that bike followed by a blue rd125lc.

sorry dont know what they would be worth now hazzard a gues if its a real erand oriiginal £2000+ you have to pay for memories.

we used to race them we started with the 250 then the 350 reed valve norman beckets of notts race tuned for us but then they bought the 350 ypvs out which was as quick as our stanard then the gits bmught the 5500

My mate had a KE175, great bike, nice and simple being air cooled not bad off road even tho it was a twin shock.

top bike in there day.i stuck mine into the side of long wheel base transit turning right i didnt see it as i was looking over my shoulder to see my mate on his gp 100 who id just overtaken3 weeks in hospital a fractured skull. broken hip and time to get a car fond memmories though

great bike,learnt how to wheelie on an lc 250 ,also had one as a dailey commute bike,was a 375cc with allspeeds,shocked the hell out of bigger modern bikes it would power wheelie every where

Had one here as well, was bloooody quick for a 125, about 110mph i think only thing it used to burn a hole in the piston, so i use to stip it and go up to a local engineering co and weld up the crown put it back together and hey presto a piston that would last longer get it bought at any price m8 a part of history , if the wife would allow any more toys i'd have one
