Thanks Martin, that is about half of the collection, I had never taken any pictures of them as a collection and my brother started setting them out to photograph when he was over last.

whats his name ........................ D. Gilmore ?
This is part of my collection, bought when I was a kid during the 1960's. The pole and ladder where part of a London Midland Region upper quadrant signal used on the now defunct Rhyl to Corwen branch line, North Wales. The arms and fittings were from a Great Western Railway lower quadrant signal from the Shrewsbury area. The dummy signal at the foot of the post (used for sidings, switches etc) is from the Chester to Holyhead mainline. Both signals used to be lit up at night, running on parrifin oil which would stay alight for 8 days and nights on one filling.
The main signal is now dismantled awaiting me to find a nice disused country railway station at a very cheap price, ideally with a two road loco shed to house a collection of my favourite cars and loco of course! .....if only.
