Anyone know of an insurance company that will insure a 20 year old with a modified mk2 escort?

Im 20 with a modified Mk2 (Auto to manual) and am insured with Equity Redtar which came up as FluxDirect I think on the gocompare site. Got a good deal with them at £412.18 although havent said about transmission change yet as its not working yet so will have to wait to see what that will do.

Insure it as a road rally car with a competition car specialist?

Usually don't care what mods have been done to it (you just list all the mods for their records). You MAY need a 'national B' licence but you don't need to do anything special to get one, just fill out the form & pay the fee.

David Auden insurance or Richard Eggar.

Mine was cheaper than insuring it as a modified classic

Look in restorations for li-lo and you will see the car
