  • sad day for me

sold the RAAT this morning, had a few people in the past give me their numbers to call if i ever thought of selling, a few weeks ago i rang one of them and today he came and took the car off my hands. haven't got a clue if i have done the right thing as it was a great car in a great colour and i had spent a fortune in my ownership. me and my missus have had a real laugh owning it and we have been to some great places and met some great people, i'd be lieing if i said there wasnt a little tear in my eye right now, so please no **** takes.

where to go now? well the plan had been to get a mk1, but i dont think i can go through all that spannering again i have little enough time on my hands these days as it is. i could only think to get something that needed no work at all - tough call. my missus and i are currently toying with the idea of getting a boat, we like fishing and as i live on the south coast there is loads to do from a nautical point of view but i will have to see.

in the mean time i have my old RD250LC that i want to restore while i have a good think what to do next. if any exceptional mk1's come up for sale dont hesitate to let me know before i spend all my money on a fiberglass bathtub.

    cheers guys

dont buy a boat for fecks sake, if a head gasket goes while you're out in the 'drink' you will be in the mire .............. Vinny, is there a aquatic version of the RAC ?

I think I have a little tear as well for you m8. I still regret selling my old Harrier 22 years ago and joining this forum as made me regret it even more.

You nobster Bishop You will regret it. The RAAT was (is) a lovely car. Get a MK2 Mexico if you do get another one
What happened to the Type 2 you were both after? If it's spannering you hate then don't get one LOL.
Best of luck to you both and I hope you don't get seasick if that's what you choose.
