    who's with me
theres always castle comb or even llandough or pembrey
Difficult roads often lead to beautiful places

It is late this year because we wanted it to be the last show of the season.

Last year it was on August 17th. too close to Ford fair.

if weather is such an issue then having it the last weekend in September surely isn't the brightest idea?

i joined the rs club last year, just to attend this show, so that cost me plenty of cash, but however i wont be rejoining when its due for renewal.
why is it you have to be a member of the RS owners club and a member of a local group to put your car on a stand? i know that this show is the registrars display.
when i have my current RS completed i wont be going to any shows other than ones that have a 'works team' stand, as i got nothing out of being a member of the RSOC. As far as i am concerned i am involved with the only club that is really for the old school guys and thats this site.
I also think that if the RSOC is losing its members then maybe they should slacken the rules and start allowing other escort models to be involved in the display of the mk1 and mk2 escorts.if there are more cars that means more money and bigger shows.
                  i think. lol

please dont take this as negative as its only my opinion and i wish the club all the best with the show and its future

i think it should be advertised in one of the main papers as you find when speaking to folk, rs show all models of rs fords wish i new about that would have gone, you have to speculate to accumulate, ADVERTISE GUYS
Old escorts, better than a pension plan.

You don't have to be a member of your local group to show. Just a member of the club..........

"IF" the club slackened the rules to allow non RS versions in then it wouldn't be the RS Owners Club anymore............

To say you got "Nothing out of the club"....Please explain why???? There are many benifits to being a member like discounts on Insurance,Discounts from numerous specialists, Certified Agreed valuations etc etc. Gone now is the day when people wanted to be part of a club and to feel proud of being able to help. All people are interested in nowadays is what "They" get out of it...............
As Tim said on the AVO thread, You get out of something what you are prepared to put in.
Also, The cost of the Registrar's display is cheaper than the £20 I have to pay to enter concours but you don't hear me moaning

come on you gimps stop maoning and put something back into the clubs, we enjoy these shows year in year out, thing is and this is not new information lads, it all has to be paid for and someone has to pay for it, unfortunatly we are not a city bank so the government will not cough up so guess what, the members do, so stop whinging, get to some shows and have a great time, if you don't want to pay then stay at home, but don't forget we'll all be dead soon, some sooner than others

dave can we have a whinging section please

can we change the record now

I fully agree that the RS Margue ought to stay as 'elite'....beacuse it is

However, I don't think shaking the big sick is going to work in this instance People will just crawl under their stones and back into their gargages

The facts are.....it is not cheap to travel to these shows lately. Some people are really struggling with jobs etc so shows are going on the back-burner. And it all comes down to cost. £18.00 is way too much to charge exhibitors to display their vehicles for the benefit of others who pay less to get into the show.

Of course, the club needs to break even....but it should look at chopping its overheads before penalising its members, without which there would not be a show.
