Think thats correct ! He left the uk to live in australia when he was in his 20's!
Harry patch was a real hero , he was a soldier in the lg infantry one of 5 lewis gunner patrol! They had a pact to only shoot the germans in the legs a close range then take them prisoner!
They were hit by a german rocket, 3 of his mates were killed and he was injured!
He never spoke about his memories until he was 100!
He laid a reef last november at the cenotaph in london!
I also share his birthday. R.I.P Harry you deserve it!
