  • Anybody work for Mazda, can source parts?

An odd request for a Ford site I know, but does anybody happen to work for Mazda or has a contact at sourcing parts?

A friend of mine has a very highly tuned RX7, but is having a nightmare getting hold of one part which means we can't run the car properly.

We're after an Oil Metering Pump (OMP) for a Mazda RX7 FD3S (1995, Series 1 of the 3rd generation).

The metering pump adjusts the flow by a stepper motor. It injects oil in to the fuel mix. The motor is sticking or not functioning as it should so isn't injecting oil to form the right mix.

    Much appreciated,

    Laurie

I'll see if i can get hold of one as i have built a lot of these engines, you can pre mix 2 stroke oil into the fuel tank and eliminate the oil metering unit if you want as an alternative.

        Hi Kal,
If you could get a price for one, it would be great.
We're getting stupid quotes so far, so it would be much appreciated!
        Thanks
