Yeah I wasn't out with the camera when you were up there. It was his brother in the car at the time, Si was stood on one of the benches watching.

This annual event is simply a friendly day out without the ego's of full competition.
So-called "Track days" are not a concept I can even begin to understand. Get on out in proper competitive motorsport! (and don't imply competitive events are not friendly - just look for those competitiors helping their class competition when they have problems). Methinks ego's are for those who want to look like they're competing...

Just don't call "track days" and "practice days" something they are not: it misleads those being encouraged to get into the sport.

this was a sprint day a bit of fun yes against a clock, shame people get ther knickers in a twist over a name of an event

Here are the regs (pre-event) making it very clear it was only a Fun Day out at Curborough on the Sprint Circuit

Wtf is this guys problem? Correct me if i'm wrong but i mechanic for mex-it in the historic championship as does dave, who also co-drives for mex-it. Track days are the perfect lead into any form of motorsport, not everyone can afford to compete in any other form(ask rick). Mex-it started on"Track days", daves looking at some form of rallying and i'm looking at some form of track based raceing money permiting!
If you had been there and seen the smiles and fun people were having you may have got that rod from up your a**e .Get of your high horse and back the people who at least are trying to to drive there cars in a fast ,safe, legal enviroment!
As far as ego's are concerned it would seem that it isn't us who have the problem!
If you compete , great , get your pics up and we can all share what you do, Thats why we come on here because we all have the same interest in our cars !
If not and you don't have anything constructive to say don't bother!
