Black with Grey stripes ... Grey check interior
Red with Grey Strips... Grey check interior
White with Grey Strips... Grey check Interior
Silver with Grey Strips... Grey Check interior
correct, not quite sure what i was thinking yesterday
by the way raver1300sport .... a quick (although not guaranteed) way to check the authenticity of the shell is to check for a bulge in the rear panel (under the rear bumper) .... only the xr2 and the s/s have this and it is to house the 13" spare wheel (all other models came with a 12")
obviously the car could have had this welded on at some point or even had one fitted without after a restoration.
Although if it were me, i would walk away if i didnt see a buldge
ps, for the children of this forumi am well aware i just made a comment about a buldge, before you say anything ...... grow up
Also, be aware not all Supersports were registered as Supersport's on the V5. Depending on the Ford dealer some was regd as S HB's , but as the trim is unique to the Supersport it should either be K1 or T1 on the vin plate depending on whether red or grey check.
Also, as said above - rear panel should have a bulge for the spare wheel. Supersport's rear panel is slightly different to XR2's - the Supersport's should only have one hole for the bumper, whereas XR2's have thicker bumpers & 2 holes.
The earlier cars had their chassis number stamped on the strut top & then the late W reg's/X regs should have the stamp on the driver's side floor.
nunnsy/andy, are you on the fiesta mk1 forum? I'm sure a few months back mitesh (who runs the forum) mentioned an Andy with a signal green mk2 that was on the forum.
Do you frequent over there too?
