Seeing as it was a nice day i thought i would bring the car out clean it and take it for a little ride around , for test purposes only of course to see if we had finally done the head gasket after the last one i put on was letting water into the oil , and after the little ride out it looks as thoughthe gasket is ok

Not really lucky as its just your run of the mill mk2 , not immaculate by a long way just semi clean , thanks for the kind comment though .
As for the exhaust didnt know it was on the wrong side ..are all mk2 exhausts not on that side then???

as for the exhaust, the left hand side exit is the standard mountings for a Mk2.

i thought the pinto engine had the outlet manifold on the other side of the engine? and on most pinto/cossie poiwered cars i see the exhaust on the other side (mine is on the left btw, but i have an xflow)

Oh it was mate , got the MOT on thursday , hopefully it will pass then tax it at the beginning of march , take it to mr norris sometime in march to be set up then give it some stick for a few months , by that time my other head should be done , then fit that over next winter, and get the little bodywork "issues" sorted.

Looking good, Hopefully get mine on the road next weekend as my mate has just phoned to say my diff is finished ( new plate lsd + bearings into 3.9) just got to fit it now lol
Already fitted new head gasket + rose jointed gear lever, only the new roller top mounts to fit.
Then the interior is of to the trimmers to have this fitted.
