And as for some RS1800's being built at AVO I think you will find only their first shell and original I.D. Tag was issued via AVO - lol
Most have had more reincarnations than triggers brush so maybe AVO should have a Triggers Brush Award

i was in the market for a mk1 rs or a lotus cortina.i used both forums(the lotus cortina register and avo site) in my search for a car.all of a sudden i was booted off the avo site for not being a member.far enough but no warning was like being to to f##k off.i eventually bought a mk1 rs2000 but still chose to join and pay to use the lcr website as we were well warned in advance that SOME areas of the site would be members only.but no way would i join the avo club even if it was free.i may soften in the future and join but this site is excellent and i like the people on it and especially the people that run it and the thankless task (sometimes) that i`m sure it is.

When I sold my Mexico I only advertised it on the AVO board, as I felt there was more chance of it going to someone who would finish it, and I wouldn't end up seeing it being broken on e-bay a few weeks later.
I've seen a couple of cars only advertised on the AVO board, and plenty of spares too.
There's also the club spares as well, which can work out much cheaper for members (centre consoles being a good example).sigpic
