Paul, take the coast road up to Padstow.
Some nice places for food there.

It's also worth a ride down to St Ives, again stick to the coast.
Perranporth, St Agnes, Porthtowan, Portreath all have there own unique atmosphere with nice sandy coves or beaches.

There are so many places worth visiting down there.
                  Mark....

Watergate Bay - massive surf beach - Jamie Oliver has a restuarant there, go there.

Visit Padstow for a day, top fishing village with great pasties

Eden project is sh1t - dont bother

Good Family pub with a top view is 'The Fort' in Newquay town centre, head out towards fistral beach by foot and you will find it. Prices gone up though since last time I went.

Plenty of talent around, wear your blinkers when with the wife

I just came back from a long weekend there, if your are staying in Newquay beach wise Lusty Glaze was a favourite.

If you like Indian food the 'Green Chilli' is excellent.

Coast road to Padstow is pleasant, though a little narrow and twisty. Along the way is Bedruthan Steps, worth a visit on a sunny day.

Beware, if you don't like hustle and bustle, Padstow is always heaving, 'Rick Stein' country, but good for lots of little gift shops.

A more tranquil option would be to hire a bicycle and ride the 'Camel Trail' between Padstow and Wadebridge.
